Entanglement explores the fragile interconnections between nature and material. Sculptures of flora and fauna emerge from the delicate pairing of porcelain, fabric, & thread. Suspended between strength and fragility, Emma and Chloe bring together two distinct mediums to form delicate, well observed sculptures, reflecting on how living systems are woven together and how easily they can unravel.

This body of work explores porcelain as a contemporary sculptural medium. Floral structures emerge from organic forms that cradle the species they sustain, reflecting the interdependence of living systems. Gold drips suggest hidden abundance within the earth, while porcelain’s balance of fragility and strength echoes cycles of damage, resilience and renewal in nature.
