Welcome to Beneath the Blue

I have been obsessed with blue all my life, and i have had many a discussion around is ethereal qualities and other worldliness. It’s heavy, it’s calm and it has a deep pull.  It’s the  open sky, the vast  ocean and the that deep pull inside you; that quiet weight of everything we’re feeling but don’t say. For me blue is the colour of transformation and growth, Picasso came out his blue period stronger and so can we all.

So welcome to Beneath the Blue, where art and life and the messy bits in between come together. I will be sharing what’s happening in my studio, what I’m currently obsessing over and how I’m navigating this crazy life.

I’m Chloe, an art obsessive.  Whether I’m making it consuming it or watching someone else take joy from it, it has taken over every cell of my being, and I’m ok with it.  I can either be found in my studio or getting lost in an exhibition but I will always be chasing inspiration. I’ve also got Meraki Art School on the go where I get to pass on that passion and share the joy of creating with others.

In these posts I’ll be sharing more about what’s going on in the studio and sharing what goes on behind the scenes. But it wont be all about me, it will also be a space to reflect on the story of art and share who is catching my eye at the moment in the art world. Hopefully it will inspire you too.
